Adj Cam Gears - What do you recommend and from where?

I'm running 272s on a stock ECU with absolutely no problems at all. You'll be fine to get to your mechanic and to even keep drive it around daily.

Heheh I am planning on tuning the sucker pretty much straight after I install the cams, just wasnt sure if she would make it to Springy motors.

Whoo Hoo! Got 'em!! Thanks again to Damian for organising the group buy and thank to Dan for holding onto them until I could pick them up.

The gears are very nice pieces of hardware. Only thing I might be changing (you other guys might want to consider it too - let me know what you think) is changing the light bolts they come with to some Un-brakos.

What do you reckon?

I didnt think the bolts looked too bad, think I will locktight the little bastards though, but they seem to hold pretty damn well.

Have you installed yours yet?

Nah not yet, I'm still modifying the turbo and surrounding engine parts to make the TD06 housing fit.

I'm hoping to take a RDO in the next fortnight to install the gears.

Priority at the moment is to get the bastard running again!

Just to resurrect the old thread, how are you guys going with the fidanza's. Still happy?

Any other horror stories with cam gears other than the aem ones come out lately?

If anyones interested in another group buy (fidanza or not) id be in.

what rpm does it hit full boost at when you load it on fourth from say 3000rpm?

and what degrees ret/adv are you running on intake and exhaust cam if you dont mind me askin.

did you find that the power has been moved to top end? 4300 onwards?

I had the choice between the AEM's and the Fidanzas but went with the latter as i've only heard good things. I have only racked up 2,500km's on my fresh re-build - so far, so good!

i havent fired mine up yet but i have seen heaps of these used on honda engines with great sucess
