Adj Cam Gears - What do you recommend and from where?

I hate hanging upside down under the dash with a passion - my back and neck kill me for about a day afterwards. But I hate paying workshops for doing things I could probably do myself even more so I'll give it a shot!

For these type of tasks I've got my own method:
remove frt seats 4 bolts piss easy
I use a piece of 100x1200x200mm piece of foam this goes on the floor and its pure luxury to do any work in this area.

Only reason I came up with this is I have a fucked back so cant do anything like contortionism in front foot wells, as I cant hardly walk or go work if I do.

Hey Shayne, you dont need to hang upside down installing an AVCR, just remove the passenger side kick panel unplug the ECU, pull the 3 x yellow ECU plugs down so you can access them a little bit better and splice in your AVCR wires - easy You can do it crouching down outside the car with the passenger side door open :wink:

Out of interest did you go for upgraded springs?

You should upgrade your springs when you do your cams.

Cam gears are here!!! I am flying out to work for a while tonight so I have given them to Dan (GSR5OL). Pm him to arrange a time and place to pick them up.

I'm stoked with mine. They look better in the flesh than the pic online.

Haha nah I am am just waiting for them to arrive then I will be fitting my cams and gears, then a tune. Do people reckon a stock ECU with run 272s well enough to get me to the mechanic?
