Hey guys, ive installed some defi electronic gauges (boost, water temp) into my GSR, but im having some issues as to where I have to put the water temp sensor....

I was thinking about using the plug from the OEM sensor and soldering it into the Defi harness, but that would kill the stock water temp plus I wouldnt know if it would work (mind you its only 2 wires each).

Can anyone show me a better spot to put my aftermarket sensor? The thermostat housing on the '93t is different to the ones on VR4's!

Any help appreciated,

thanks

is there any room on the housing to have a plug welded onto it and have it tapped out? what about one of those inline sensor plugs that go on the radiator hose?
not exactly the best option..... remove the factory sensor and just use the defi gauge, mine worked fine that way for years. :?

I dont want to mess with the radiator hose, and want to keep it as stock looking as possible!

Might just do what I said, and use the factory plug on the Defi sensor lead!

Damn 4G93's!!

thanks

Okay I just tried switching plugs, and no joy.

Anyone know of a spot where I can bang in my defi sensor?

There's nowhere on the thermostat houing like on my old VR4

I just found a water temp sensor housing made for aftermarket water temp sensors I'll try and find it again, but it did look like a new casting with a location for a temp sending into the casting maybe just tap out a hole for your sensor.
