I own 2 cars.
and I'm 23
1 is being stripped as the motor blew up and it is dodgy as (damn sydney cars) which used all my money from the write off..
the other is becomming what the other car was supposed to be (still having issues) had to get a loan so i could still get to work etc
so I have a load of debt.. not liking it one bit but not much I can do at this stage

my previous car 99 AU Fairlane was written off due to an old bloke T boning me

I'm 33 and still paying off the loan/s I took out for my old AA GSR Cordia (which I got when I was 19 and don't even own anymore), plus my "new" CC GSR Lancer!

My biggest problem was always "just taking out a small increase" to pay for that mechanical / bodywork or perfromance part, etc, etc.

Note to anyone young reading this: NEVER take out a personal loan for a car, or anything else for that matter.

As a lot of the older wise heads on here have already advised, the ONLY time you should EVER borrow money should be to buy a house.

Take it from someone who has been in debt his entire adult life, with no light at the end of the tunnel!

well I would probably be considered a senior member at 37 I guess, but I do own my Evo outright tho so age can have it's benefits. Mind you still owe about 90% of the purchase price on the other halfs Ralliart hatch.

Or me at 53? I'm going to have to work out the correct method for attaching a walking frame to the front of my Evos.

And I'll not have one of those 'Baby on Board yellow signs on my back window; mine will say "Old Bastard on Board".

Cheers,

Peter D

Nearly 25. Own everything outright, but don't look at my credit card statement as I live off it. ;)

Paid out all the loans I owed when I sold the landcruiser not too long ago. Having a car loan is overrated. I have MAJOR issues with people taking money out of my bank account (direct debits).

for you guys that are talking about paying off loans and owning things......well Ive paid off my house ..twice but have currently got a very small mortgage and I own outright 6 cars.......but the most expensive things in my life have been my two daughters. worth every cent although some times.....gggrrr.
