he means side to side bearing wear, cause being on an angle it can offset the center shaft making one side wear our more then the other.... but i have seen heaps of turbos mounted on worse angles on V8's and 6's...

i will be tapping directly into the oilfilter housing for the oil line... so it should be fine....

still dont know if i'm goin to dump this on my hi comp engine...... i may blow it with the stock 14psi lol....
 
looks sweet... i cant see the angle being an issue either...

could be interesting on the HC engine...

thanks bro, only thing that concerns me is a big bang on boost...... then nothing.... lol

soo another day off and more work done on this project basicly almost finished......... oil line and water lines are mostly done, oil drain left to make...

dump pipe is 2.5"........ screamer? or plumb back??

whats the call guys? i'll leave it to you...

will also match it up to a full 2.75" twin exhaust system later on....

i had a thought....... its not going to be hard to make it into a plumb back so i'll play with the screamer for a while then put it into plumb back later.....

if it works well on tims rig i'd be up for one when i get back from OS in april... lol... at least you have plenty of notice ;)
 
Oh yes, you should defnitely make a kit to suit VR4's :D There's plenty of late model evo owners upgrading their turbos.. you may well kill the popularity of the evo3 16g.

thats the plan!

kit is finished, including all lines and dump! just needs a doner car.....

also measured it up on Olly's GSR/EVO today and seems like it will mount straight up with no hassels just very lil clearance between the comp housing and rad..... cant help that with a huge turbo...

on the bright side, your stock boost will be 14psi from now on! lol

nice thread on how to make a manifold and fit a custom turbo.. sorry to bust your bubbles boys.. but the TD05HR turbos are not that much better then the TD05H's... theres F all if any dif...

das is tru, but we are testing an Evo RS titainium wheeled turbo :D

and at times cheaper then a 16g (minus the TT wheeled)

its all in the name of FUN! and a very expensive rebuild if i blow something up lol!
