apexi turbo timer

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I've seen alot of guys put them on the dash to the left of the steering column. A few people put them underneath the steering column. As for me, I use Pivot and I put that in center console under headunit.

I have mine under the steering colum, in the gap between the bottom of the colum and the gap between the plastic of the dash. I never us it though, just cant be stuffed taking it out.

just curious as i dont have one, has anyones turbos actually 'failed' because of cooked oil in them? i mean if u say boost hard down your street and then shut it off quickly, will that phuk your turbo?
me n my mate took a s5 rx7 for a test drive because hes interested in buying it, the guy whose car it was, was so caught up about turbo timers, he would set it for a minute otherwise the turbo was destroyed, he had that in his mindset..?
Matt

on the flip side...how much do you trust your turbo timers? i have a blitz turbo timer...never had a problem with it except for once....where for no apparent reason it didnt shut my car down and my car sat there running with no cooling on and boiled and overflowed my coolant for 40mins untill the DJ made an announcement  now i dont walk out of sight of my car untill it shuts down.

put it here pete
i usually only turn my timer on when i go for a cruise, usually just use it to check my voltage and my afr even though it isn't a wideband it does give a rough indication of when i run rich and lean.

right were mine is also ...

Yep, just double sided tape. My turbo is already fucked, I tend to just switch the car off 1/2 the time anyway if I have just driven to work or somthing, I like to leave it on as a voltage moniter more than anything....

how come I dont have a dimmer switch :( on my evo 1. I want my interior lights to be brighter!

By having a "dimmer" switch you will never get your dash lights brighter, you need to get some led's in behind your cluster
