Hi guys
Anyone have access to the part number for the back up/reverse light sensor (ie what activates the white reversing light) that sits in the gearbox of an E1-3?

Or does anyone have one that they can sell me?

Thanks!

Just replaced mine in my HSG.. Apparently a lot of Mitsubishi's - (Mirage/EVO/RVR) share the same switch.. I'll try to find the box that it came in to get you the exact part number (possibly 'CRS123') otherwise, just head into Repco with your broken switch and compare it to what they have.
Mine was $34 from Repco. Mitsubishi wanted $62 for the same switch..

Its only a ball on a spring. it runs on the selector shaft. if you suspect it is stopping you selecting reverse, remove it and try again.

What's wrong with the gearbox? Has reverse 'popped' out of the case, or does the shifter 'pop' out of reverse, or what?

What about if you disconnect shifted cables at the gearbox, put in in reverse by manipulating the levers and try that (cables are catching or pulling)

One other thing is the shift detent (the stack of 3 bolts on gearbox) these hold the selector rails in right spot for each gear. i have a idea that one is different to the other 2. Maybe yours is loose or shagged
