I'm on the hunt for some 6x9's for the buick.

Can anyone reccomend me THE brand to get?

I have a 400W RMS (bridged) Rockford Fosgate amp to power them

I have some kenwood ones in my P.O.S magna, they go pretty damn good, and they're not even amped!!

Any advice is welcomed,

dre

The old style eclipse three way ones used to be the shit. The 4 way ones are good, but they're more trebly than bassy, the sound clarity is beautiful though.

I'm using focal speakers in my cars.

kenwood 7x10s always sounded good and they fit in the 6x9 holes

my mates corvette had 4 x 7x10s and a 18" kicker sub it was perfect

i still reckon the jaycar response speakers are awesome! JB hi-fi use jaycar speakers in their home hi-fi systems

the cadence 6x9's sound crazy too!

i had a couple of sets of POLK 6x9's that went hard as!!!

polk is a pretty good quality sound

I think my sub is dying its a 5year old 15" earthquake or could be a loose wire but to lazy to check

my mate had a kicker amp to run the 7x10s but with the kenwood amp they sounded pretty average + capacitor/pow cell thingy helped

best sub Ive ever heard was Cerwin stroker series in 18"

How can this sound perfect? It's all bass.

Not just bass, BAD Bass.

18 inch subs have PATHETIC response times, they provide the bass hit about 1/4-1/2 second later than the actual beat.

Someone's a doof doofer.

Bostons are alrite, fusions are my favourite or if you want something that are good for $100 go sony xpload 6x9's, just avoid the fake ones, I got them in mine un amp'd atm and they sound like a 10" sub

it depends what kind of music you listen to lorrie san

I have a soft spot for the old KEF ones or the old Infinity Kappa ones (the ones with the ribbon tweeter). But that is more for sound quality which is wasted if they are going in the back parcel shelf as opposed to the front doors.

u going for an elcheapo system or a quality one?

I have Cerwin Vega's in the commy ... They are really good sounding speakers...

I am thinking of putting in the Boston Pro's for the GSR tho ... I heard them the other day, and they were pretty darn good... Mind due at $800 they better be....
