well after owning the vr4 for about 2 weeks the big 16g is let go....

so im gonna upgrade and was wondering what would be the best upgrade for around 200-250kwaw mark...

i dont wanna go external gate as its just to much hassle but if the turbo is awesome and requires it ill definatly think about it...

im in the market and willing to look at any second hand setups that are forsale by members aswell as im on a tight budget!

cheers Grant-

i saw 1 on firesport.com.au click evo, an theyrs a evo 6.5 turb for $550, think that would suit 200-250kw

tbh i want something bigger then 16g.... 16g might make 200kw but it will be at its limit and running higher boost...

any other suggestions or any1 seen anything good for sale.

Cheers Grant

6.5 is the wrong orientation. 16g will get you the power you are after..

for the same price id go for the 6.5 twin scroll, titanium blade, quicker spool, twin flapper, but most importantly its the same price, lol

what about the FP68HTA been abit of discussion with them an they sound alright or a gt28r or somthing like that!

Easy reason not to go for the 6.5 turbo... It is the WRONG way round! :p
Why are people scared of big turbos around here lol

just get jerome to make a mani for it ;)

Tony on Galantvr4.org is selling one, thats the link that I posted before.
His was rebuilt with a slightly larger wheel then then he pulled it off the car for a more grandpa style of turbo. I would have grabbed it by now but the exhaust housing only suits an internal wastegate setup.
The next turbo that I am looking at is one of these 2....

Or this one....

Edit: both of these turbos are oil cooled only so you will need to either block the turbo water lines or just loop them.
Either way works easy.
I would also feed both turbos from the oil filter housing for adequate oiling.
