Boost controllers

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I had a quick read through ECM's boost control wiki, and it does sound quite good.
But I like that I can get an electronic boost gauge in a standalone ebc.

I found some good info of the AVC-r on extremepsi.com and that put it in my choices list. Sounds like a great unit, but pricey.

Does anyone know how well ECM's boost control would compare to something like the AVC-r?

I have a similar unit to the one Oggy linked, and I have spikes/drops really bad. I think ambient temps also change boost heaps

I got the HDI boost controller in my eterna,The guy who owned it before me installed it. It has two variable controls for low boost and high boost, and is pretty accurate even on the small 14b turbo with no overboost.comes with a boost gauge that is linked to it and apparantly add ons for closed loop and turbo timer ,but i dont have that. The only fault i have is that if your battery level drops below 10volts the thing resets to be on high boost mode.Meaning normally if you switch it below high or low boost it will stay on that setting.but sometimes if you do excessive cranking or really cold morning start the controoler switches to high boost mode and you get a rude shock the first time you boost in traffic.
