Hang on a sec, Ive been reading this thread thinking what's this 100RON fuel you guys are talking about?

Baz, the 100RON isnt E10 is it? All the E10 in these parts is advertised as 91RON (Shell E10 is actually 94RON though). It's the cheapest unleaded fuel at the bowser in NSW and there's plenty of supply around. I fill the Nimbus up on it all the time and find it runs pretty good on it, better than normal unleaded IMO.

united 100 octane petrol is 10% ethanol rob, like the old shell racing fuel.

Ah then probably not so good calling it 'E10' in these forums as NSW 'E10' is not 100RON lol... I fill the Nimbus up at United and their only E10 is the green low RON stuff.

lol... 1.5 hours there and 1.5 hours back = 3 hour round trip lol... cost more in fuel to drive there and back lol...

I've seen it at servo's usually advertised as either:

Shell power racing 100ron (I don't think they do it anymore)
or
United RON100 10% Ethanol

I've never used it myself as the VR4 has been out of action since they have been released..

You could up the boost or turn your base CAS up a a degree for a quick increase in power

only problem is ethanol based fuels will never get the same amount of km's out of a tank as 98 will.

As long as there's a jerry can full of the stuff in the boot so that you can get home after a track event, fuel economy is not a worry!!
