Help Support 4GTuner:

Cool, excellent, thanks for that, now that I know I don' t have an EGR circuit, all I need to work out is what to do with those open pipes (which leak under boost).

If any one has any ideas please share!

Do they all run back from the 'e' port on the tb?
if so just pull the pipe and pop a round bit of gravel in there, or a ball bearing if you like. Push the hose back on to the e port and cable tie it tight if its not a tight fit. I think my steel tubing had a 'T' in it, I looped a tube from one to the other. All sweet.

Thanks Jack

Re "Do they all run back from the 'e' port on the tb?"

No, that is the bit I don't understand, the 'E' port on the TB is sealed with nothing connected, these three pipes are just hanging off the back of the inlet manifold, I will try and get a picture...

Ok, in the 1st picture you can see the middle of these three pipes is connected at one end but not the other, and in the second picture you can see the side pipe is not connected at the bottom..., no wonder these are all venting under a boost leak test!

Apolgies for poor focus of second shot, 'tis a bit dark and angle is tricky.

They are just pipes, just to connect the hoses. They are not connected into the intake except py the hoses. From memory there are 2 straight pipes and the middle one has the 't'.
just shuffle the hoses to and from them to suit your purposes. So they are all connected and not open/ leaking

Yep, over thinking it, swapped hoses over so no connection to middle pipe now, so one set of leaks fixed, two known ones to go...

So there is no 'e' hose.
You can block the 'a' hose.
The 'p' goes to the purge for the carbon canister.

so they are not leaking now?

Rough up the inside of the biss hole with sandpaper, and fill it with silicone. You can easily dig it out later if you need to.

Thats all of the leaks isnt it? Better go test it out...

Thanks for the link. I had a look, looks a bit differnt to mine as I have a 3 port TB, of which E is blocked off. I think that part is sorted, but have to confirm with another test when other leaks fixed

Found another leak, fuel injector seal. So two to fix and then retest... I suspect it may take a while to chase them all down.
