I have been doing some investigations on brake upgrades. I owe a CE Mirage, with some minor mods.
I know that the Proton GTI and GSR stock calipers can bolt onto the exsisting hub assembly on a CE with minor modifications to the backing plate(256 mm, single POT calipers). The lines and banjo's also fit perfectly. (I have done this conversion, that is how I know).
However I am looking to go to the next step - twin pot front calipers with 276mm rotors.
I know the EVO 1-3 and FTO front stock calipers are twin pots and can bolt up to a CE. (276mm), with the lines and banjo's also fit perfectly.
However I am wondering if the VR4 and/or the KR Verada units (twin pots also) can also bolt up to the CE hub, as these are also 276mm units?
Technically, if someone with a CC GSR has done this conversion without changing the wheel Hub assembly, then it should work. So I am hoping someone on this forum can help me confirm whether the VR4/KR Verada Calipers/brackets twins can bolt onto the CE.
Thanks.
