I won't partake too much in this thread (ok, just one post ) since I'm selling mine and I don't want people to think that I'm just trying to sell you mine, but honestly the clutches in these things do go quite quickly.

I think that's where you can tell that to the Japs these are just normal cars. They can actually get 35-40,000km's out of their stock clutches.

A lot of the guys from Aus that purchased Evo 8's and Evo 9's locally were mentioning figured of anywhere between 8,000km's and 20,000km's before their clutch was going! I'm sure a lot more have been able to milk them as much as possible, but unless you upgrade, it really is a consumable item on a car like this.

I replaced mine when it arrived. Most people I spoke to said that it would go within a month or two of driving it, so I just replaced it at the first opportunity I had rather than let it be a hassle later on down the track.

As mentioned by others, yep I'm selling mine. It's essentially a stock Evo 7 with a heavy duty clutch that gets maintained like it should. PM me/drop me an email/give me a call if you want to.

Personally, if you don't have a preference on look, I'd only ever opt to get a 7, then spend the rest on mods. They are all so closely matched anyway it doesn't seem worth the extra money just for bragging rights.

Good luck with the hunt - they are awesome cars! :D

yeah i'm not to sure yet... i would love to buy that guys off the forums but trust me i wont have the cash for a while... mybe next year i'm hoping... but who knows i might stay with the evo 2... i wanna test drive a evo 7,8,9 to see what i think...

29,000 is dirt cheap for the white one, but like i said no cash atm LOL...

thanks for your comments... i would love to get the 6 speed :D
not looking at spending $40,000
30-35MAX
