First up guys:

Weekends are NOT available until next year.

That said:

Track hire is 7000 dollars a day. Timing is 300 dollars extra. Track hire includes use of -all- facilities incl garages and VIP rooms etc.

Cars are unlimited. For each "race" or practice I can line 38 cars up on the grid.

Race suits MUST be worn and are available at a hire cost of $30 each per day

Helmets MUST be worn and are available at a hire cost of $20 each per day

Safety will be on site and I will foot the 40 dollar per hour bill personally.

ALL members MUST apply for AASA licenses (I will detail this in the next post). Cams licenses are also acceptable L2S+. The event will be held according to AASA rules and regulations.

There is NO SPEED LIMIT ENFORCED AT ALL whilst racing or practicing. If you can wind your car out, you can wind it out with glee and pleasure!

I am yet to work out a pricing structure but be it known that I will organise this day for a Tuesday more than likely as Tuesdays are traditionally the "slow" day at peoples works and uni's. Also they don't involve weekend hangovers and you have monday to get weekend gremlins sorted. I will be endeavouring to have a qualified mechanic on course (AKA Darren or similar) to fix cars as they break.

ALL people will be required to pay, this is inclusive of drivers and spectators. I will supply the food/drinks for the day if we go ahead with this.

I was thinking sometime in September or October and a rate of around 175 dollars per car plus around 40-45 dollars per person who isn't the driver of that car.

I apologise it's not cheaper but those are the rates.

Obtaining an AASA License:

Three step process:

Download the 2005NCR - National competition regulations (attached) and read them. End to end. This is how our events will be regulated.

Download the club license application, fill it out in full, be HONEST.

Goto Darren @ AFAS to sign the bottom part (Someone known to AASA!) and then post it off with 45 dollars.

Anything else can be read on the website. http://www.aasa.com.au/

This is the circuit we are hiring. It is the National Circuit. The Drag strip will -NOT- be available for the day as it runs down the main straight of the circuit.

As I said before, there is no speed limits enforced so if you can go that fast, then go that fast!

I will be running 5 lap races all day long. 5 laps is enough to get your teeth wet and for your brakes to wear out. I suggest everyone bring a spare set of brake pads in their boot. A full set.

sounds good lorry!
how many cars do u need at that price?

we should get more clubs involved to offset expenses...

7000/175 = 40

I'd say two full grids of 38. That way we can change the price to suit. As I said it's going to cost around the 8300-8500 dollar mark for this day to go ahead once all expenses are paid. Actually probably closer to 9k as I need to get some public liability insurance too. Then with the cost of the BBQ and drinks... so on and so forth.

So I think if we can scrape up two full grids of 38 to run on a TUESDAY.. I'm going to tentatively suggest Tuesday 31th October starting at 9am and running until everyone dies of exhaustion. I think we can start around 7-8-9am and finish around 9-10pm if we want to.

Everyone needs to get AASA licenses first tho. Or CAMS L2S

People / Cars should be broken up into groups, Slow / Fast / Experienced / InExperienced.
This will give everybody the best day + time for there cars to cool down before the next set of laps
