i'm not normally a fan of the "altezza" tail lights either, but I've seen an Evo with altezza foglights on the rear, maybe that could look cool

I neva knew about the black ones till recently, got mine way over a year ago when I first got the car, I would prefer them also. But I'll settle for the ones I have at the moment, and as CLuTZ suggested going faster is a better way to spend money, that is next on the agenda 4G93 yes nine three rebuild.
