car insurance, yes, it's a shit thing, but it has come to that time of the year for me to pay up a ridiculous amount of money to a bunch of pricks who probably won't cover me in the event of something happening anyway...
but that aside, who are you with?
I'm currently with Vigil, but am shopping around. Got quoted $1055 full comp, rating 1, but they are re-assessing it due to me telling them about my licence suspension.
Already been refused by Shannons due to a 3 month loss of licence 12 months ago and had a quote from Just Car Insurance for $1325 (full comp, protected rating 1)
Mat :)

oops

i havent told mine about any mods since the exhaust was done, let alone that ive lost my licence twice

might be time to re-assess my policy too

can't be as bad as mine..
car is still insured under my dads name as a stock gsr with rims.. :D

bullshit!
whats the real reason? :p
haha
no seriously

just cars and RACV are the only ones that will insure me

and RACV wont allow any mods

same as when i had the s13, just cars were the only people that would insure me

I'm with Just Cars.

EVO 3 - With all mods, full engine with big turbo, aftermarket ecu, different front mount, all suspension mods, 8k stereo, full leather retrim, 18" wheels, coilovers etc etc... all mods listed, agreed value of 48.5K.

I pay $890ish($894 or somethin) a year full comprehensive.

I'm 28 btw, which prob makes a difference.

that's cheap!
I think as soon as you turn over 25, the premium drops considerably.
runuts - have you ever had a loss of licence or a claim?

i just went with Just Cars yesterday.$1400 with unlimited mods, fire, theft, damage. only thing is a $1400 excess. but i'm just glad i got it insured with someone....

Yes, have lost my license, but it was over 5 years ago, and they werent interested in it.

Funnily enough, I'd never made a claim until I got the evo 3. Had the car 5 days, hadnt even got the insurance papers yet, and someone ran into my car in a car park. Anyways, rang just cars, explained, paid the premium by credit card over the phone, and the car was assessed two days later and repaired within 2 weeks. So I was pretty happy with that. Considering i'd never made a claim before, I was very impressed with the way that Just cars went about it. They contacted me many times during the course of it to give me updates, and quite a few times afterwards to make sure I was happy with everything.

are you sure?
i wasn't sure about that, say for example if the car is too low to be roadworthy, but it gets stolen, does the unroadworthyness void your insurance in the case of a theft claim?
