Did anyone watch the news tonight?

Did you see that guy in his SL55 AMG get carjacked?

I saw an asian guy get carjacked once, for his EVO 3, at the drags one night in Auckland, this was about 5 years ago. The poor guy was left in the middle of the road with his hand on his head.

People drive around in the city of melbourne with their doors unlocked?

I was always taught to lock all my doors when driving in the city. It's habit now :/

But on the topic, I didn't see that news and I was watching. Maybe I missed it or it was the melbourne-only bulletin. Which channel?

It's not that common in Adelaide, although I heard they are on the rise.

My old car used to lock the doors when you hit the brake for the first time after turning the car on. Sometimes I wish my VR4 had that option..

My vr4 does exactly this??? Maybe it was an option.

Also, if you close the door after you turn the car off, it automatically locks all four doors. IE: Don't ever leave your keys in the car??

Er........Intellitrac takes care of shit like that on the Evo 8s. Some idiots in WA found out the hard way when cops turned up.

Me, I drive my car locked up all the time..........can't be too careful.

in R33 skylines (i havent been in 32s or 34s so i dunno if its the same) but as soon as the speedo hits baout 30 all the doors lock automaticly

yeah my car alarm locks my doors when the engine starts, the thing is I cant hit the remote and lock the doors properly Until the turbo timer turns off

I need to read the instuctions, they are damn complex these days

Not that you would want to steal mine but the doors lock as soon as I start the car, but I think I like that now

but you would be spewing if you spent $400,000 and waited 3months or more and someone rips you out and drives off

good thing to do as well is keep a spare alarm remote in your pocket and if it happens just press and the imobilzer should do its work, and there not going anywhere

iv got an immobiliser which is supposed to lock the doors, but the dudes that fitted it said if i want the door to lock when i hop in i cant arm the immobiliser (which locks the doors) untill the timer is finished. so its set up to arm & lock with the timer on, but it wont lock the doors when you turn it on.... u can hear it try to lock em, but they locks stay unlocked. i just press the button if im worried & that lock all the doors
