Catalytic converters

Hmm.. bit small.... of course I already know the answer, deep inside (lol) but

what are these like?

there ment to be crap and dont do anything, thats why I got one and you can get the cat replacement pipe cheap aswell for about $60

Anyway the metalcat looks aftermarket, regardless of EPA compliance it still says in the SA modification guidelines that you're not allowed to modify or replace the cat at all...

I have been through a full regency inspection with 3" magna flow cat they said nothing. All they did was shoot a lazer temperature probe at the pipe going into the cat and the at the cat to make sure the cat was runing hotter, no emissons testing.

Really? Hmmm... maybe you just got lucky or something, I got screwed over a knock light... it lights up when the car knocks, nothing more, they said "it probably adds fuel" so I got done for it... I guess it depends who it is?

I'll call vehicle standards tomorrow and ask them... if they say it should be legal I will get a statement or something from them so if they try to do me for it I will be covered.

That is assuming of course the car can't pass emissions

Also, with the eBay cats, you say it "Does nothing", do you mean it contains no catalytic converter?
