Sounds interesting - wonder what would be involved to get an engineer's report and get it rego'd.

LOL

I have for sale my Project Lancer... Its a 2001 CE lancer, n it have been turned into a CE evo 6, i bought the car with alot of these items already been done to it, but i have finished it off by spending another $8000+ on it... a evo 6 half cut was over $10,000 itself... just to buy a CE lancer was over $8,000...
here r the list of stuff been done,

LOL if only people knew how much he paid for the car and probably how much he didnt spend on it then you would probably laugh!

i am selling as stated in my add... selling all my cars to buy a brand new one, then put a deposite on a house...

Jeff did alot of work to this car, n has spend ALOT n i mean ALOT of money on it to get it where it is, i have spent another $7000 to get it all running n everything... The car is awesome, Way better then all my other evo's i have owned... the only down point to it is traction... FWD LSD...

i am willing to sell the car for anything i can get, not making money at all... i payed $XXXX for the car, n spent another $7000, i think it will only sell for $6000 maybe a bit more if i'm lucky... so if ppl think i'm making any money on this car think again cause i'm not

i got this car to keep as my drag car, but $$$ is killing me n i have to stop this shit with cars cause they r just not worth it anymore... dont get me wrong i loved fixing up this car to get it back on the road... i may even buy another car to fix up for the hell of it...

as for getting a mod plate for it... mmmm everything in the engine bay is evo 6... even all 4 brakes have been upgraded... it may fail on the hight of the vehicle... but thats all i can really pick on it... i never even tryed to get one... i know someone who does em, but its not worth spending the extra $$$ when i think i've done enough... i will lower the reserve till sold...

cheers

what the hell jstyle....
I have had four cars in 6 months.... does that make me a dodgy person to?
I DONT THINK SO....it just shows I like to have different cars!
Aaron didnt say nothing about buying the car for more then he did...he just stated....a half cut is worth $10,000 and he has a whole car on the road for only $7,000 meaning what a great deal. so read before you state.
but seriously.... the way you stripped that car on the side of the road.... oh and wait for the best part....the way the guy who brought ya old car off you and gave it to you to fix...what was your comment.... oh thats right "before I give it back to him ill take it up the mountains" but I didnt have to read that I heard it from you yourself....so my statement's true.

Firstly, how much did you ACTUALLY spend on it....? Abit missleading dont you think- you dont count paying yourself $250 per hour as "spending" money on your car.

Secondly, you also make it out like you bought a half cut, and a CE lancer for $18,000 which you DIDNT.

i sold my commodore payed $2000 for it... got $4400 for it... Very Happy so if the evo goes i will be upgrading for sure..

i may wanna upgrade to a newer modle evo...

going away from evo's n stuff for the moment... getting a jet ski and a VT V8 commodore...

selling a VT 5.0L - clubsport body kit, extractors, exhaust, new b-boss 19inch wheels, lots more features $12,000 ono

I am selling this car due to funds and updating my daily car to a new VY/VZ commodore

Whaaaaaaatever dude. Your stories just don't add up. I don't know how you can live with yourself and the amount of B.S that comes out of your mouth. You can fool some people by selling them fucked cars, but come on pal- enough is enough- cut the B.S

Whaaaaaaatever dude. Your stories just don't add up.

you paid 4k for the car.. then spent another 7k ?

Id love to see what 7k bought? in reciepts but i doubt you could prove that!

right...

i have just replaced:
front gear box
cooler hoses
evo 6 turbo 10.5 rear housing
exhaust system
raditator n thermo fan

i also replaced all the items inside the car with evo 6 parts like:
Centre console
Cluster
Centre gear plastic
Stereo surround
Gear Knob
Climate control

The above is 7k worth of gear or is that include workshop labour which u did at ur own place?

Either A. You got ripped off on the above parts.
B. Your spinning something crazy
or C. Im on some seriously high drugs if i think the above parts are so cheap

and this...

I have not yet got my hands on a gear knob, it also needs a rear parsal shelf, the plasic door side step, and the inside carpet to be mounted properly... No cd player is in the car

But if you look at the above parts 'replaced' you clearly state it has been done...

All this taken from your eBay ad!

Before you have a personal dig at me.. ask the guy.. Chris is his name.. ask him if i asked him if i could take it to run in the turbo/clutch setup.. so id do that before you say anything else :) From what i remember he even wanted me to drive it around to make sure everything was working properly and fully run in before he actually took delivery of it back because he doesnt know what he is doing with cars and rather i did everything on it and he just drive it!

Jon

gezz thats funny.... as i remember really well... saying to you.... " dont you feel bad" meaning taking his car up the mountain.... and your reply something along the lines " oh well i got to get the most out of it, it will be my last time driving it"
why would your reply be like that if it was all well and good for you to take it.... even if he said yeah go ahead take it.... your first intention was to take it anyways by the conversation we had!

GSR - Aaron brought it....blow up on him first week he had it, put a motor in it and forged it, but aaron wanted an original evo.... someone said ill buy the motor off you so aaron sold motor sep. and brought a new one...which was fine and even fine when it was selling...so whatever the buyer did in the car has nothing to do with aaron

EVO - nothing was wrong with the car but the blow by.... that was fixed and car was running brand new but had other cars on his mind that he wanted.

HOLDEN - brought this for a change and instead of jet ski wanted another turbo car

LANCER - did spend all up $7000 (same labour had to be added as it had to be towed to a few places such as exhaust place which most had to be replaced) new tyres and rims and rims to be resprayed all take part in the cost....and heaps of little items and all the big items listed all cost money...and im guessing by all your reactions some things we obvioulsy did get ripped off of

ok this is getting way out of hand AGAIN! keep on topic... this is a for sales section not a debate... if u have any problems with me selling shit PM me if u wanna have a cry... yes i was buying a jet ski, then a bought the lancer... then got a vt commodore, now i'm selling both... i change my mind alot.... is that not ok to do these days, i didnt put up this car on team4g for this shit to start... I do have reciepts for this lancer, all from tech sport... exhaust joints, rims etc...

if you have any more problems please pm me!

You obviously dont know what your talking about.. when you work on a car and do some major work turbo/drivetrain etc.. are you not ment to take the car for a test drive to see if everything is working properly and nothings leaking?

are you ment to give it bak to the customer and say.. i havent tested it but its all fixed and ready for you go to.. then have them call you 20mins later saying they have broken down somewhere cos you overlooked something?

Look have a dig at me all you like but this thread is not about me.. its about the above car for sale..

PS: dre i love how you have edited your post.. hahaha

I feel a bit guilty because my post seems to have been the trigger that's fired all this off - so first off - Sorry Aaron.

I asked my question because it just seems odd that you're selling the car so soon after getting it and doing all this work to it and pouring all this $$$$ into it - regardless of the personal reasons behind it. As Dre posted earlier - something just doesn't sound right with what you've posted. The costs just don't seem to add up either - I mean $10K for an E6 front cut sounds waaaaay too expensive and for it not to have an Engineer's report to allow it to be registered with that engine is also a bit of a 'turn-off' to the sale.

What would it need done to get an Engineer's report? If somebody DID buy it would they be stuck with something that could never be engineered and therefore remain an unregisterable car (ie a 'Lemon')?

But it's a free country and you're free to post and do what you like. I know it's a "Buyer beware" world, but it's also a bit of a "Seller be fair" scenario too. I'd be cautious about buying this car based on what I've read and seen here and on e-bay.
