Hey guys

Just picked up my first rvr little over 3 weeks ago, had an oil leak out of the head gasket and is all fixed and runs great now. Been driving for a week now and hasn't missed a beat, love it. In the mornings under light throttle/cruise the check engine light will be on but as soon as I increase the throttle it disappears? Will this code even come up on diagnostics? Has anyone seen this problem before? Car is bone stock as it comes, auto trans, N23w.

Thanks, Brock

Even with the CEL off, the ECU should still be emitting stored DTC's via the OBD.
Or have you tried this and it's not producing anything other than the heartbeat signal?

EDIT: Unless you have reset ECU by cycling the power source, in which case the stored DTC's will be erased.

I will double check the obd port tomorrow and the light when emitted doesn't change the cars performance, I was under the assumption the light had to stay on to be stored. I'll get back with the results tomorrow. Thanks!

31 - detonation sensor, I broke my detonation sensor when removing the head (forgot it was plugged in) so I used the one I had lying around in my vr4, guess they must not be interchangeable?

Oh sweet, I should of picked up that it would be different considering the cam sensors etc, I'll most likely buy a new one just to keep the maintenance fresh on it, want it to last until the projects are done, thanks guys!
