LOL.. put it this way a s16g ran 117.52mph on 20psi street fuel with full weight
GT30R ran 113mph on 27psi with gutted car plus race fuel..

It wasnt even tuned for racegas and if you think that taking out a passenger seat is gutted then you'd better think again! That VR4 could have and should have gone quicker, but hey- this is the first time i've ever said it on a forum.

And who was owned? I still ran a quicker time than you? Who gave up their VR4 because they couldnt get anywhere with it? Who rants and raves about thier "stock" ECU'd EVO when its not even stock?

Dont worry your ~.06 time quicker then my 12.096 is going down this friday thanks to a big16g :)

VR4 Spun a balance shaft.. heavy as crap.. you also abandoned yours before you even went quicker so you really cant talk ;) you know and i know that the VR4s were never ment to be a 'drag car'

Stock ecu.. its a stock board only thing changed is a reflash of fuel.. it will pass an EPA test no problems unlike any other aftermarket ecu on the market. Not to mention it doesnt even have as many variables as say an autronic.

In the end of the day you can say what you want.

But times/trap speeds speak for themselves.

Even tho a GT30R powered 4G63 went 12.03 @ 113mph on 27psi a Small 16g on 20psi went 12.096 on 20psi.. Potentially the GT30R is a 550-600hp Rollerbearing turbo and the small 16g is a 380hp turbo!

So tell me what is the difference in time? The small 16g car is better setup then the GT30R car? or is the 16g a better low down/responsive turbo that can put the times. The 16g has been proved over and over again, if you dont believe me check out dsmtimes.org or even nzmmc.co.nz!!

You have totally missed the point I was trying to make Jon, until you had to bring up our own personal feats- 2 totally different setups in 2 totally different cars I might add...........

Why do a full forged 1.9L rebuild, and then chuck on a 16g? Why not do something a little DIFFERENT for once?


Your always going on about lag this, lag that- but lets face it, your not going to make any SERIOUS power without it.

Dont blow your engine up (again) this week

If he wanted something bigger then a 20g then wouldnt he ask about it? If you cant read the topic its in regards to a 16g vs a 20g.. i see no huge ass turbo thread here? Im sure if he wanted something more then the above he would of asked! By the sounds of it he is afraid about lag and wants to make it a street car that is buzzy on the streets!

Oh and me blowing up my last motor was my fault was it? If you didnt know i bought a car that had a timing belt out 2 teeth.. that about says its all doesnt it.

but if you dont get it.. 2 teeth out = running rich/shit = revving high = stretching conrod = out the side of block.

Tharaka = ball bearing/rollerbearing means the same shit.

Sorry for Hijacking the thread

But everytime I see this from Jon it just cracks me up. How on earth can you stretch a rod, because the timing belt was out by two teeth.

I'm an engineer, I cant figure it out.

Care to enlighten me.

Rods dont punch though blocks for this reason, that is for sure.
