complete noob

hi guys....

im a new noob here... hope i can learn more into this great engine culture....

currently driving a mazda3 SP23... its slow on straight, handles quite well for FWD around the track, but nothing compare to EVO...

im currently thinking to get either GSR with 2ltr conversion or 6.5TME.... 9 is way out of my price range....

well.. its a nice forum and hope i can give back as much as i get and learn from this forum...

i could've sworn at heathcote, you couldnt break past 16seconds

yes you are right.... lol, i couldnt launch properly... keep getting 2.9sec-3sec 60ft and 16 second pass.... but then i put race pipe on and semis.... i got 15.5sec, then 15.2sec, then 15.1sec, then 15.0sec... with 2.2sec to 2.3sec 60ft average..... (i did 2.1sec in calder before)

and when i tried to do my last run of the day (was aiming for 14.9sec)... this thing happened...

if you look at the pic... the engine mount snapped, causing the gearbox dropped and boom


and now my car is in healing process...


and this is the poor engine mount snapped into 3 pieces... the other pieces still stuck on the gearbox....

yeah.... i know.... thats weird yeah? my mate GSR with VR4 (mark_culhane) did 12.6sec with 108mph too... on the same day.... i think the mph measurement on one of heathcote lane stuff up... my average mph is only 98-99mph on my other runs (15.1s and 15.2s run)

we do cruise, track, drag, and BBQ! yum.... but nothing hard core, just for fun....
