Hi guys,

I need some insight how much are you guys paying a year for your RVR insurance? I also found it very hard to get a quote, as most major car insurances don't have the RVR in the quote list.

Type of insurance: Comprehensive/Thrid Party
Insurance company: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cost: $xxxxx

I do have a home insurance with Vero, and from what I got told if I do insure my rvr with Vero ill get some discount.

Anyway, all I wanted is to stick with an insurance company not jumping over the places, unfortunately Vero can't locate my RVR vehicle made for the 1997 model but they can only find RVR up to 1996 so left me no option and they said I need to double check my rego make sure its 1997 model  and call back later.....

Wae

Shannons. $67 a month. $804 a year. Insured for $10000 with all mods listed.

BTW if they are telling you there is no 97 model, just move on. 96 model is the SSG not HSG or HSGR.

Insurance companies I know that will insure a HSGR is;

NRMA
Shannons
Suncorp
Young and Cool
Just Car

I've heard Unique Car Insurance will do it as well.

If all else fails - Fortron. They insured me < 25 years old but it was $4k+ a year in 2002. Not sure if they have improved on price since!

I'm with Just Car Insurance rating 1 full comp for $1000ish bucks, might have to check out Shannons by the looks of things

When I got mine Shannons told me I wasn't an enthusiast and wouldn't have me
Just cars was the only one I could find
On line quote was cheaper

full comp from just cars $840 but must have alarm. I had someone run up my ass end bending rear bar and lights on it and currently claiming for repair of damages, they are seriously dragging their ass with it.

Full Comprehensive with HBF. Pay $39 a month.

The one I picked was :

Drivers to be over 27 YO ( Which is fine, I'm 30, wifes 29, and mates who come over from east are over 30)
All Windows covered.

I picked HBF because of when I was 24 I purchased an S13, and they were the only ones who insured all mods bar ECU.

I spoke with Shannon 2 months ago and got told I'm not enthusiasm enough into cars...... so they are not offering me their insurance product

I'm with NRMA, not sure on total cost but it's $67.85 a month for 97 HSG RVR
Full comp, 26yr old female, insured for $9000
Although, Just Car usually do the best deals for agreed value cover, and you can now insure with Shannons without a car club membership. We've got the KE11 corolla insured with them currently.

Our RVR is insured with NRMA who price beat shannons who the GSR is with. We have kept ours pretty stock so was easy to get insurance and was $400 comp hahah
