I'm looking for a custom intake similar to the hks reloaded that meek has for $650, thing is and I think most would agree its a bit steep for a custom intake

This is what I'm talkin about http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=320

If your not using a maf then you really just need 2 x 45 angle pieces of alloy and a silicone join.

LOL Thats all I have... well mine is a 2 1/2 INCH intake made with 2x 45DEG stainless and about 10cm of straight welded in between with 2 silicone joiners on either end. About $26 EA for the bends and a 1M long straight for about $33. Silicone reducer/joiners off ebay for about $20 each.... Get somebody you know to tig them together and its a cheap option!

Forced Performance make the best quality ones in my experience...Thats what I have...I also have one of the Chrome Intakes ones

The ones that Ted posted links for are the next best after Forced Performance IMO.

point of catch can if it just drains back into the intake? wouldn't it be just as easy beneficial to have it go straight from the pcv to the intake. i thought the point of a catch can was to keep the oil out of the intake

It doesn't drain into the intake. You use the intake to put the crankcase under vac when in boost. Any oil that gets into the can stays there unless you have a cheap ass catch can.

It is to keep the oil out of the intake, the catch can "catches" the oil in the canister, then theres a breather pipe at the top that goes to the intake pipe, the catch can has a drain at the bottom so u can empty it

oh ok yours with the line on the bottom looks like it'd just drain to the intake. how much is involved in running a map sensor over maf i know i'd need a chiped ecu
