You'd be able to make up or buy a new lead couldn't you?

Okay so I ended up buying one- only to discover I have a friggen OBDII port in my car!!!! dre

Sorry, I thought you knew that it have a OBDII port.

Nope I was guessing that because it was a pre-facelift (1994) that it had ODB!

So I downloaded the software from http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/ , now what do I do with it?
I have a Palm M515, I put all the files onto a SD card but it doesnt show as there is anything there, do I have to install it or somthing?
Also does anyone kno how to get the stupid thing to "hotsync"? I have installed software that came with it onto PC but it just says that it cannot communicate. when I plug the USB cord in the PC makes a "dodung" noise the same as when it detects my camera/USB stick but that is all it does, the palm On/Off switch lights up so I guess it is charging the battery ok just wont communicate :( If I can't get this to work I have just bought a fancy game of Tetris!

Hey Richard, when you copy all the files to an SD card via a card reader, make sure you right click on the drive and choose "eject", otherwise the files wont be transfered to the memory card (even though you can see them & that they look like there).

P.S - Where is that old data logger thread gone? I really need to get myself one, my car seems to do the odd miss a beat and want to stall when idling, done it since I got it, and I want to figure it out :)

to4garret web link looks the stuff, so OBDII is for 96 onwards Mitsu's, so Im guess the Aspec GSR's are ODB1? I'd prefer to use a laptop, I dont think my new motherboard has a serial connection anymore :p

I'll check my gsr to make sure its 12pin, I think maybe a group buy? I just need a shitty laptop (I hate the mofo's but prob prefer it over a pda)
