Driving Issues

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

it's a 1.8l so doesn't have the breathing demands of the 2l. oh and that 160 is on 10psi i plan to double that boost figure.

Jayrome has a thread on here somewhere. Turbo and exhaust is on firewall side and intake is on radiator side.
he used a 6bolt block with a late evo head.
Im not sure if the late blocks bolt up to our early gearboxes. Maybe not....

There, that should stoke the fire somewhat ;)
why not add something to your own suggestion to start the ball rolling?

Pro's:
potentially more power
more torque larger upgrade market
Con's:
initial cost high

Pro's:
initial cost low
can make similar power
Con's:
less torque
aftermarket isn't as wide
real power requires an upgraded bottom end

Shittier motor than a WRX

And now it is solved!

P.S. I managed to drive 200km's without any oil on my 63 (Long story short, hit a wombat, cracked sump and ripped wire out of oil pressure sender)
Motor still ran fine for like 3 weeks after (obviously repaired sump LOL). I got another motor just to be safe, and am in the process of rebuilding the old motor, and apart from worn rings it is fine oO

Once you buy one you become a fucking leper and no one talks to you anymore. You get sad and go for a drive........and it's fucking awesome!!!.......and you don't care that everybody hates you.

I wish someone could confirm if the bellhousing on the 4B11 would mate with our gearboxes.
Given that it seems relatively easy to reverse the 4B11 orientation (obviously you would need to put an idler gear into the gearbox to cope with the reversed engine rotation).
Maybe you need to investigate this Geo... then maybe 4gtuner can be friends with you again

Don't get your panties all in a bunch Jack. Yeah I missed a fair bit of shit in December, bad month for me. Wasn't ignoring you anymore than my own family. You know that manifold is cut in half and has a sr20 tb plate on it right?

I have no idea. Out of pure curiosity I shall look. I would think the Tcase setup will be the end of this pipedream but no harm in looking. If anyone was going to the hassle of reversing engine direction, may as well go the whole hog and use engine, gearbox and diffs(rs) from a X, be shit loads more power without the extra half tonne of chassis to drag around.
