Hey guys...
Just interested in your thoughts on this topic...
Should party drugs be legalised and sold over the counter at certain places?
This would allow the purity of the drugs to be moderated and could cause less overdoses and ensure the quality of the drugs being sold.
The current situation is a lot of backyarders manufacturing their own stuff... this would involve a compromise between making a profit and supplying a quality product. How much of a compromise is always an unkown and is subsequently a risk.
Pill testing is another option, and was discussed on J-TV a while ago, but the government and relevant authorities don't agree with it because they tend to think it will encourage drug use, which it probably would... but they apparently don't seem to care about harm minimisation.
The other thing that could slow drug use at nightclubs/pubs etc. would be to lower the prices of alcohol. This obviously won't happen though and would alcohol cheaper to buy for the people that would abuse it... so buy helping one problem, you would be effectively creating another.
Thoughts?
