The turbo kyp has is a Genuine MHI turbo purchased from Mitsubishi. You wont find any cheaper that is Genuine trust me i know.. No doubt you can buy cheaper, theres plenty around but they arent genuine MHI items.

they just said that they don't know how anything could have falled into the turbo because they had the inlets/outlets stuffed with rags when they were drilling it, but was very sorry and to let him know what i found in the intercooler end tanks.

i suspect you will be finding a small nut or washer in the end tanks....
= their fault.

too many dodgy McFuckwits in this industry................................ WAY too many. :?

If you noticed the sound immediately when driving the car away from the workshop then it obviously happened while the car was in the workshop and they WOULD HAVE HEARD IT when they kicked it over before handing it back to the customer. IF this company isnt accepting repsonsibility they dont deserve repeat business but they do deserve bad publicity (word of mouth) This is why its so important to find a good workshop/tuner and stick with them :)

he was revving it in the workshop but it seemed fine...

i took it for a drive up the road and planted my foot a bit and it went up to about 2psi and went bang, white smoke, made some funny noises, fouled all the spark plugs...

it was quite strange...

would the turbo need to be on boost to create enough suction in the intake pipe to suck something into the turbo?

well, the car is in pieces in my front yard now...
i got the intercooler off the car and look what i found:

that is what used to be the sillicone spacer on the front of the turbo... it's not munched to pieces.
i took it down to the exhaust shop and he took one look at it and went "fuck! well... looks like i owe you something now hey!"
we've come to an agreement which i'm more than happy with...
he's going to mount my new intercooler, custom 2.5inch polished stainless piping and modify the screamer pipe so it doesnt dump onto the lower intercooler pipe.

yeah, i reckon!

i just hope the dopey fucker from the tyre joint next door doesnt put his dirty mits on it again...

FUCK! atleast you found some proof mate. you should frame that lil piece! it is pretty good of em to help ya out....would have been better if they didnt fuck your turbo but hey....

yeah, well... it would be nice if it just went smoothly and i didnt have to fuck around with all of this, but things happen... what can you do?

lorry... if you really wanna know who it was, speak to me on msn about it, i dont really want to advertise it though... i don't want to publicly link them to this.
