If this is the one I am thinking of, it was a Stat Write off that was for sale about 10 years ago. These have W5M33 3.545 gearbox and running gear which is an upgrade from the pre-facelift KM221 2.848 stuff.


*Edit* Just looked at the VIN and I wouldn't touch this car with a 10 foot pole... it was/is registered as a '1991 CB Lancer' when clearly it's not. The only way it would be legit is if it was a Yellow Plate Personal Import or loophole REP/REB VIN'd car, which clearly it's not either.

Maybe I should ring the guy up and see what he says lol

Yes its 100% a gsr....has aerial on pillar....has gsr guards....has no tabs for front bar to mount to on rad support....no climate control....no rear wiper the list goes on and on.

Looks like it has had a hit in the front drivers side too. Rad support looks a little, "how ya going."


I also like how it says, swap for XYZ.... then at the bottom it says no swaps cash only. LOL..

Ask him to show you the papers? I have seen his replies to Roccos queries and the bloke has no idea what he is on about.

Yeah I spoke to him too. I explained to him all the things that make it a GSR. And pointed out a lot of the things that an EVO has that this doesn't. !! He was like, thanks for that but I do have rego papers they says it's an EVO 1 !!!

I then asked him to pass on the chassis number and I'd tell him exactly what he has. I've not had a reply since.
