May only be a standard lancer with turbo conversion... the above link has the same plates...

Seems like a lot of effort has gone in to it (5-stud conversion etc.)... why not just chuck in the 4g63t and awd???

With a 4G15 VIN it's either a rebuilt Aus spec GL or somebody's done a dodgy with a genuine EVO1 - in which case I'd be very cautious about this one.

i dont think so. when they bought the car in as a rep rebuild they have to put the single cam motor (off the written off car) when they register it, and then in 99.99% of cases. replace back with the original motor that came seperate with the car. I guess they didnt notify vicroads when they put the motor back?
