I hadn't looked into it yet. Someone mentioned it in passing. But he only new of the ones that fit in the later models and didn't know what cars used the 2.4 in the earlier stuff

In newer models u use Magna 4G64

In older models u use Nimbus, HJ Galant, and even Sonata

Yes a 4G64 is a 2.4 and coz it has a bigger capacity, it has more torque, yes the 2ltre head bolts on

Do u know what cars had the 4G64 that u can use??

i know this isnt the place for this discussion but...

i got the early sonata 2.4 because it is a 6bolt and so i didnt have to block the holes in the block to fit the 63 head, and (its stronger but)...
jayrome has welded the holes in a late 63 head and mated it to a 6bolt block, abeit the wrong way round, so...
maybe you can get a 7bolt 64, and put on a late 63 head (wrong way) and get the best of both worlds (with the exhaust next to the firewall, and gearbox snapper)

Yea I bought one for my new engine, haven't used it yet but it doesn't look too bad, the welds are good but the wall thickness of the pipe is quite thin, and the finish on the inside is abit rough, I would send you some close up pics but it's at a different house to me -_-
