i went to meek today & he doesn't wanna fix it cause it will cost heaps thats what he said,

Or did you just read the title of this thread and the last post and decide to chime in?

If shipping it to the US to be repaired by the people who are basically leading the field in DSM ECU's is the path he wants to take then why complain?

We all spend out money in ways that we are comfortable with. Frankly, I'd probably have gone down the same path

CLuTZ its the forum members way from the comfort of your lounge room how to fix your car.

I would send any ecu to meek and get it overhauled peace of mind in my book

reliability is everything to a few

I didn't wanna say the price that meek told me to fix for three blown things let say he said minimum $500,and and ECMTuning.com is going to charge me just a bit over $70,

Don't get me wrong meek is a top bloke and his the best when it comes to Mitsubishi, i just went there the other day for my advance timing,

you just go to relax a bit seriously, because every time someone will say something about meek that you don't like, you get annoyed so lay off the meek thing its getting really childish..

for a start it doesnt cost 500?? maybe you need to look around in your own back yard as there is around 50 (minimum) places in Australia that will and can repair your ecu.

Just because there are people who might be able to repair it, doesn't mean they'll do a great job, charge a fair price, and provide excellent service.

I have never even dealt with Meek, so I definitely don't have any bias whatsover for or against.
However, after looking at Meek's site, I wasn't even aware they repaired ECU's. It's probably only something only their regular "walk-in" customers might be aware of?

I don't have time these days to go trolling from shop to shop, or spending hours on the phone ringing up places on the off chance they might offer the service I require. Funnily enough, I used a search engine and looked at a company website, which was very well put together, told me exactly what services they could provide, and gave me all of the information I needed.

By recommending DSMLink I just thought I'd pass on a positive customer experience I had to a fellow member, in the hope it might assist them.

Didn't think it was going to kick off handbags at 20 paces...

I'm not arguing with anyone,I'm just saying the right thing ,i think people are just getting sick and tired of reading "his" negative side of what he thinks is right,

this is not the first time i had to speak to him like this,,were not kids here we should all act like adults, but it seems some people don't want too.

Wasn't having a go at you mate, or anyone else for that matter.

I just feel forums go downhill very quicly when they degenerate into flaming grounds, where people are too afraid to voice their own opinion for fear of being attacked by other users.

I've also felt the wrath (on another car forum) where I was attacked by a completely biased user who hated anyone who dared speak out against his preferred mechanic, so I know how it feels.
