Hi

Something weird started happening to my car. Every time I turn the lights to the first click, the fuse in the fusebox (10A Tail Lamp (LH) Position (G)) keeps blowing.
The dimmers work but the lights for: the speedo, fuel, temp, revs, center console don't light up. I have an electronic boost controller setup which gets power from the cigarette lighter and that still works, the cd player still works too. I thought my right headlamp was causing the issue because the plug-thing that connects to the headlamp is corroded (so sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) but I just replaced it and the right headlamp works perfect now but it keeps blowing the same fuse after the first click of the lights. I must have gone through 5 fuses now, lol.

Any advice?

Pull the wiring diagram for that fuse. Unplug everything on that fuse. Eg headlight, taillights . Turn lighs on and see if it blows. If not start plugging stuff back in and try one at time.
Have you a tow bar, maybe issues at trailer plug wiring.

I have had this same issue in my wagon, for me it turned out to be a poor wiring on the CD player.
I just re-wired it to its own circuit and she came good.

I think I found the culprit.
All the soldering for the cd player and boost controller looked solid. So I put a new fuse in and unplugged the cd player and boost controller. Lights work and fuse didn't blow. Plugged the cd player back in and everything works. Plugged the boost controller in and the boost controller didn't light up, but the lights on the dash still worked. I looked at the connector for the boost controller and noticed the black pin was out. So I pushed it back in and connected it back up, turn on the key and lights and everything works. I even jiggled all the cables behind the cd player and the boost controller and the fuse didn't blow.
Will have to test it further but I think that black pin (earth) on the boost controller was the problem.
Attached is the pins for the boost controller I have.

You're right, that wasn't the issue. Its still occuring. :(
I've tried reading the wiring diagram but its not making any sense to me.
Anybody know what things are connect to the 10A Tail Lamp (LH) Position (G) fuse?
The soldering for the cd player and boost controller look good, they don't cut out or anything during my driving.

Ok just got my car serviced and told mechanic about my issue. He inspected the LH rear tail light. Replaced the globe and the fuse - and it seems to have cured it now. Been driving around all day turning the parkers on and off and fuse hasn't blown. Guess it was the globe that was the issue...just weird that the left brake still worked when I had this issue.

Had the same issue man exceptine was the rhs tail shorted out on hard acceleration. Launched at the drag strip and blew the main engine bay fuse for that circuit. Was ver hard trying to shift with no tach
