EOI: Once in a lifetime meet??

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Thats another great idea Adrian ^^^ Powercruise is held in Sydney WSID every year. We can mix it up against big V8's and other turbo terrors in a few events and camp onsite over a few days if we want :) One of the guys at work does it every year with his mates.
We dont HAVE to have our own event, just all plan to meet up at existing events! :)

Its a good cruise road eh Jimi... but its also dangerous with heaps of heavy vehicle accidents and too many yahoos on motorbikes taking their bikes for a squirt around blind corners. As long as people wont be stupid it would be a good cruise. I deal with that road often through maintenance and safety upgrades at work (RTA). That road needs a bit of respect and staying on your side of the white line within speed limits. Risk overtaking a slow vehicle out of frustration and you're playing Russian roullette in some areas.

agreed... i was sitting behind a car with a horsefloat for prolly 20 k's on the return trip till i got a strip that i was happy enuf to pass.. had a couple of cars pass the both of us... because they were impatient... backed right off as soon as they tried so i didnt get caught up in it if another car did come around the bend...

just goes to show... the big problem on the road is not the cars, its ppls attitudes

Even if it isn't an EVENT so to speak.. Even a central meet up, then we can all go out, eat, drink and brag about how big our turbos are hehehehehehehe.

So how much is everybody willing to spend to do this???

It won't be cheap if travelling interstate.
It means taking time off work and spending up on fuel/trailer/accom etc..

$500- 1000 a week to cover travel and shared accommodation.
Some of you interstate boys could probably work out a car carrier cheaper than separate car trailers if you knew someone with the appropriate truck driver's licence?
Then again some cars are tough enough to 'race it as they drove it!' :p

so the suggested Ayers rock meet we discussed at my place is a candidate?.........all will have to travel for that .

i reckon Adelaide is a candidate too. then maybe some Wa guys have a chance.

i can just see myself getting raped by the boys in blue if i wound up in SA, those tic'tac's piss me off too.

i think most NSW boys would be keen if we make it next year i think it gives ppl plenty of time to get there cars that arnt on the road time to get them up and running.wether it be in Sydney,QLD or VIC ill be interested.i personaly think it should be a 4GTUNER thing not jambo powercruise summernats event

im with todd on this one QLD has the best track and night life:thumbsup: but then its to far for the victorian dudes?

I'd actually prefer to go to Heathcote. Although QLD is obviously where I am, with the amount of cars that would run into the 10's here, that certainly arent ANDRA spec'd, it would make sense to go somewhere that gave us the freedom to see what they are capable of.

I can truck mine down, but to be honest, I'd actually drive it interstate. I didnt build it to be trailered. If something unfortunate was to break, transport is fairly easy to organise. I have a truck at home, mates with tow trucks in Melb, and also a friend with hire cars and trailers in both melb and qld, may be useful to a few of us.

Give us your contacts mate!!

So the choices

HEATHCOTE- 1/4 mile
MILDURA- 1/8 mile
SA- any tracks available?
ULARU- hmmmm... lots of red dust
QLD- specific suggestions??
NSW- WSID??
ACT- any suggestions?

NSW = WSID (Western Sydney International Dragway) = Eastern Creek :)
It has a 400m dragstrip obviously and race track and large carpark for gathering in, plus a grandstand lol :)
