hey guys got a genuien evo 3 having problems with it

between 40-60kms on load it vibrates throughout the car mainly coming from the back after 60kms its normal if u back off no vibrations at all only on load

iv changed :

Tailshaft balanced and centre bearing changed

x2 rear driveshafts recod

checked the teansfer case and gearbox to suit and yes they do

check the rear diff bushes they really need to be changed as they are cracked and diff has abit of movement but then again would that be the isuue of the vibration???

also just say doing about 120kms high speed it does it at times and I back off n out it in neutral and let it roll

anyone experience this kind of issue??

I actually bought the car like that as my friend and I thought the tailshaft needed to be balanced.... I guess we were wrong

any suggestions? ?

Its good you are trying to isolate issue.
its prolly not wheel balance as it changes with drive/decel. But id still give wheels and tyres a close going over.

may help to get car in air and run it to speed and see if you can see what it thrashing around.

As jack said, have a good look at ya tyres/ rims, even swap em over with some others,
I took the Mrs cx7 an rims to grip tyres in Somerton, got new tyres fitted to the rims an got them to swap them over, drove out an noticed a vibration at 60-70 and also around 120ish, took it back to have it rebalanced- told it was fine so went home took a wheel off an saw there were no hub locator rings, brought some an it fixed it,
Doubtful, but hopefully it is something simple

only other suggestion is to sell it to me :D

tail-shaft cv is a likely culprit. ...also very expensive

tail-shafts are not balanced under load....so if the problem occurs under load, balancing wont help. from my time in the industry we found these needed to be balanced at a higher than normal rotational speed when compared to your average six cylinder or V8 where the diff ratio was numerically lower.

So you can't feel any vibrations from the engine? All in the rear? Check all bolts are tightened, bad bushes likley culprit, as certain harmonics get set up at different speed/rpm's which make things vibrate. Also check for catching rear calipers, are they releasing properly.., wheels balance etc....

all sorted guys turned out to having the wrong rear diff ratios thanx to tech sport....

also I cant post anything in the forsale section for some season

I have a 4g63T engine forsale comea with the 7 bolt flywheel

does not come with the manifold and turbo

motor is still running in the car compression test welcome anytime

will not be taken out of the car until buyer is satisfied and deposit or full amount is taken

im aaking $2000 firm
