Hey guys,

As the title says, is there any disadvantages from connecting the Evo 4 ecu with the 4G93T ?.

I have a 4G93T engine with a relatively cheap price but without it's ecu and there's a spare Evo 4 ecu lying around. I can also get the Evo 4 wiring harness, would it be advisable to be done with the Evo 4 ecu ?.

Thanks.

I think you might be better off looking for another forum with more information. The majority of the 4g93 information on here relates to the older models which do not share the chassis with your model.

Disadvantages are its unknown territory and going in blind you'll be doing 2 step backwards and 1 step forwards

It would be alot easier to use a Evo VII ecu with a 98 gsr harness or you can also use a evo1-3 harness but again its starting to get harder the more you mix it up.

The advantages for the 7 ecu are broader parameters in the mapping and latest free-ware sort-ware to re flash(Tune) it your self would be the bonus.
