just those small bits and pieces what do u reckon?
Nice!
I'm doing a VR4 to Evo 6 ecu plug and play loom this holiday.
Currently a Motec m4 plug and play loom but Motec has been sold so will be converting.
Ill start a new post about it.
How is the stock ecu flash stuff anyway?
Easy to use?
With rvr it is easy because they have OBD II on them compared to evo 3 old style diagnostic port.Great work VR401!!
I'm running the Evo 7 ecu in my Evo 3. Still trying to work out why ECUFlash won't work with my Openport 1.3U cable & reflash adapter. Currently have EcuFlash and Evoscan installed onto my Asus Windows 8 32bit tablet Model No. ME400c (JB hifi have them for $347 til Sunday 26th May )
I've never used any form of ECU software nor have i flashed an ECU before so this is totally new to me. The E7 ECU was already pre-installed when i purchased "Lister's" vehicle almost a year ago (car has been off the road since due to respraying)
I also own a 95 SuperSports Gear and wouldn't mind doin the same to it if possible.
Still totally stumped as to why EcuFlash won't talk to the E7 Ecu but Evoscan will after the key is turn to the 'ON' position. I tried the DTC's in Evoscan directly after turning the key and as expected the "check engine" code appears within the first few seconds. Once the check engine light disappears on the dash i hit the DTC button in evoscan again and the fault goes away. There are a few other codes that i'm yet to cross-check and hopefully nothing nasty arises.
I'm not sure exactly what Lister left behind as far as tuning and fault diagnoses goes. So i'm slowly learning/clarifying things in my head as to how he's done this. Big learning curve for me but excited in the same token!
I read in a evolutionm forums that it's suggested to try numerous times within 1 sec of turning the key to ON. This could be regarding just the Openport 1.3 rig i have inherited and it's slower baud rate i pressume?
You may have to check pin outs for both ecus, im not shore bud.so ive got the n73wg with the evo 5 motor I could run evo 7 ecu and it would fit straight in correct ??
