I wonder where youd stand legally sfter wards?
Ive been looking for coilovers for my CC, and i must say its easier to get later model stuff...so this option would nearly be viable...and modding the mounts woulnt be hard at all.

As for legality, you will have to get the rear lower control arms modified by an engineer, thus it being legal.
The control arm modification is the hardest part of fitting later evo suspension.

VR-4Squid said:You don't modify the control arm. You get coilovers with separate height and preload adjustment, then you can unscrew the lower mounting bracket.
DOUGMO said:why doesnt someone buy the hks coilovers that steve has on ebay?
hks for 1-3?
DOUGMO said:for the front though you would have to file out a couple of mm which would weaken the bottom of the strut toomuch. no too safe imo. especially in an impact

They are different to the Evo and GSR setup.
I agree. Theres quite a bit out there for CC's, wouldnt be worth the hassle to mess around with any others, when its going to cost the same amount anyway!
