So last night I dropped around to check out my mates new Evo X. I knew it had been modified but it was built by TMR from new and fully engineered for all modifications and road legal so how modified could it really be?

Turns out it can be insanely modified!!!! This thing is a race car on the road! Full bolt in cage, motec computer, stupidly expensive ohlins suspension, semi slick tires, button clutch, racing spec seats with harnesses and heaps more. Comes with fire extinguishers and everything. TMR build no plate too so you can tell its authenticity.

We went for a spin last night with my mate driving in pretty greasy conditions and this thing just took off like a rocket and defyed physics through corners. I drove it for a bit and I cannot believe how insane this thing is.

He did a track day today at Phillip island today and blew away his previous wet lap records from his 320ish kw Evo 6 race car. This car has a full interior and all Gsr options! (except for cruise)

Here's another one for sale at the moment:

Can't wipe the grin off my face! Track day at winton coming up in a few weeks. Can't wait!!!

I'm pretty sure Ross used to do 1:36s at winton, thats equivilent to a high 1:40 at pi and he was only doing
54's there yesterday? Or did he only get runs in the wet?
Dont get me wrong, I dont want to sound like a hater(I know I am a bit) as the X is a sweet
ride but in that configuration it wont have the potential of the VI.

I believe it was only wet laps down there and he was comparing to wet laps in his old vi. And I could have the numbers slightly wrong so don't take it all as gospel. If you remember his vi, it was highly strung and he struggled to get consistency out of it where the x is tuned to run all day, every day. I'm not sure if he is looking to run in the same series this time. I think he's using it as a daily driver that he can do decent track days in.

Either way, it's an awesome street and track car straight out of the box that I never knew about.

Yeah i dunno about 110k price tag though as for that money you can get some pretty decent cars. R35 comes to mind.

are you sure its not a ClubSpec? ie this.. http://www.tmraustralia.com.au/article.php?ref=101 which is about $13k + a base Evo 10 (so $65k ish)

That one you linked to on My105 is a full TMR built Evo X RS dedicated showroom tarmac rally car with a weld-in FIA cage, Ralliart Diffs and Motec ECU and diff controler and other bits to match the $110k price tag. Its very much not a road car as the Evo 9 and 10 RS's can not be road registered (and the bits to match the $110,000 price tag)

The Club Spec's that TMR have been building seem like a great way into a club car if you dont have the ability or expirence to do it yourself.. :)

P.S the 'Dreamer' selling the white one on My105 is Alan Heaphy.. ie TMR ;)

Still seems like a pretty steep price (to me anyways).

Then again, similar to MRT, they're going for a certain market. Pay for the experience/reliability, and essentially branding... People are happy enough to do it. Go nuts.

whatever way your mate is very lucky, these are proven rally cars straight out the box, If you have the cash go for it i reckon

My apologies. After reading what you have pointed out, i checked with my mate to clarify the details. His is indeed a club spec however the confusion comes from the previous owner getting TMR to fit and tune the motec aswell as the ohlins suspension. Also recieved a mild cat back exhaust upgrade appearently.

As far as the white one goes, I wasn't aware it was an RS as it doesn't say it anywhere in the advert. It seems to have retained electric windows which i didn't think the RS model had. I was also confused by the first line of the ad saying that it is a show room specbuilt by TMR which made me believe that it had gone through the same process as the club spec cars. The only difference from my mates from what is advertised is the carbon seats and the weld in cage. (and rear seat removed) This is where the "dreamer" comment stems from as for someone who doesn't know the car personally and is only going by what is in the advert, they appear to be relativly the same car. Not having a go at the guy selling by any means, just pointing out where my confusion came from.

the RS version can only be a rally permit or club reg , but its a better version for full racing

Ross's one is a GSR manual, as he want s to be able to drive it on the street too as yourve seen Damo , Ive been speaking to him all last week about it

we just sold a 2012 plate evo x with tmr mods , no cage though $85k

I want one now too
