how much compression should each cylinder hold on a e3 4g63?
does 170-180psi sound too off?

Sorry to bring out an old thread, But i just did a compression test on my EVO 3 & it was 180-190psi in all pots.
What is the new compression for a E3 4G63t, & what is the lowest pressure you would want to run before you need a rebuild?

180 is friggen awesome and excellent, hey even 150 is good. When you start to get 115 and less you start planning for a rebuild but I know of 90 psi still going OK although past its used by date and needs rebuild: have a looky here too for VR4 engine, 1G and 2G info: http://www.dsmgrrrl.com/FAQs/compression.htm

E3 should be up round 190 on a new motor ( 9.0:1 compression ratio)

i went 115 on a vr4 engine before a rebuild... it was still running fine just got sluggish from being so worn.
