Evo3 RVR cam issues

Hi guys,

Bought some Tomei 260 cams that came straight out of another RVR Hypergear and my mechanic tried putting them in mine but apparently they fit but dont line up properly... The only thing i can think about is that my engine is an actual evo3 engine and not the original RVR engine.... However i thought they were roughly the same??

Any ideas?

Tell your mechanic that the cas is out 180 deg (inside)

He's taken out and put the original ones back in. He said it was out by 90 degrees not 180. Anyway, I'll do it another time, need my wheels back

VR4, RVR, EVO1/2/3 are all interchangable, just the intake cam gear on the RVR is different

The slots in the inlet cam are inline. The cams were in ok. The cas was in the wrong way internaly. Hmm not starting. You paid him twice.

Been using this guy for 10 years, i havnt been there to look at the work for the last week, but generally he's bang on... Ill see what he sais when i get it tomorrow. Definately spewin though...
