hi guys,

a mate of mine has given me his GFB hybrid blowoff - for those who arent familiar its both plumback and external vent. please note its not like the stealthFX ones where you can click the top left and right to adjust how much is plumbed back or how much to atmosphere...

anyway, my question is regarding the adjustable spring tension though.

has anyone used one of these before and if so where would you be setting it.... tightenned the whole way? half way? it has to hold lets say 18psi

thanks for any help

The spring tension doesn't adjust how much boost pressure the BOV will hold. My GFB BOV (stealth FX) Has held 28 psi no probs (on a mates car). I'll see if i can find my instructions about setting the spring tension. From memory they were pretty easy to understand.

i had the hybrid on my car, it held 21psi. i took it off cos i thought it was too loud. I didn't plumb back one side so it was just 100% atmo.

I had the Hybrid then I swapped a mate for the Atmo. Both are practically the same, the spring tension can be adjusted by turning the screw at the top. That just alters how long the Pssh go's for and when. For example I have mine tightened so it only blow's above 5 psi, and It isn't a long droned out sound like most dickheads have theirs set to. I suppose you could add a washer under the spring for that extra tension, I know It can be done with TurboXS BOV's
