I have 2 ecu's here for sale.

Evo3 ecu able to be socketed (IE EEPROM'D) MD322364
GSR ecu socketed with (im serious) a powerchip. MD187040 SOLD!
Both been sitting in the garage for a while and both ran on either my car or friends cars no worries.

The powerchipped one was plugged into a near stock gsr (exhaust/filter) at the drags and ran .400 faster with no other changes on the same night ;) Needless to say we were a bit WTF, so it must do something.... If you didnt want the powerchip its easily replaced with other tuners chips, such as our sponsors ECM link ;)

Both $300 ONO each plus post...
I dont have a pic of the evo3 one but its similar to the other chipped one (without the socket).

Re: the E3 ECU - would you be interested in a part exchange + $ your way for a VR4 ECU that's been socketed and had all of the capacitors replaced & the circuitoard cleaned (all by ECMLINK)

Hmmm... well I have no need for a VR4 ecu, BUT, Youda may be interested.... send him a PM and see what he wants to do.
Cold hard cash works for me though ;)

Would the power chip ECU work in a Evo 3 or is that just a GSR ECU?

Im fairly sure its just a more aggressive set of fuel and timing maps built into the chip (hence the .400 better drag time)
Im certain it wouldnt work in an evo 3....
You could always have your own chip written, hence the value of it already socketed ;)

Bump.....going on ebay shortly.... :)

Yeah I was not very clear with what I was asking was I :)

My aim was to use the already socketed ECU and drop a ECM link chip in there to run my Evo 3, but looking at the part numbers I am suspecting that the ECUs are not interchangeable like that.

even if the socket has already been done you still need to have the jumper moved to free up the extra memory if that hasn't been done.

just make sure that the ecu is of the type that switches the fans on.....later gsr does...but early gsr doesnt. early gsr relies on a radiator temp switch
