just thought i would pop this on the forum in case anyone has the trouble i had getting this bloody thing to work:

initially i tried to use an evo ecu which had been socketed but when loaded with an evo map etc and connected it wouldnt fire up, it popped away trying to ignite

i then got my RVR ecu socketed: this didnt work with evo bin and xdfs and i struggled to find RVR bins and xdfs to suit, the ones i did get wouldnt work either

i was then pointed towards a site discussing a man who wanted to run an RVR engine on evo wiring loom and ecu and came across the info as to why mine would not start the first time round:

its is because the RVR coilpacks are inverted when compared to an evo, so if you either swap leads 1&4 to 2&3 or switch the coilpacks around then this will compensate for that fact

i found on my RVR that everything else worked as it should to like the fuel pump relay, fan and AC which i read may have different pinouts, although i would suggest checking this before thinking all is well and good

anyways i hope this helps anyone who gets stuck, and i would like to thank miodrag for sending me files to try and get my project up and running

I would try running a Lancer GSR (4G93T) ECU and chip that... then use ECMlink!!?

hi clutz, i already had these items and lancer gsr's are hard to come across here in the UK so to the ECMlink kit, plus it was knowing people who could use the software etc, just thought would be beneficial to anyone else
