galants in general are a bit like volvo's anyone with half a brain knows theyr good, but no one wants to buy one... i couldnt sell my gsr galant for any more than 4k, so i traded the shitheap in on a vw passat for 4500.

its unfortunate because theyr a excellent car, but the vr4's are definatly getting old... but so are all the jap turbo hero cars of the early 90's... still pay over 20/25 k for a good 91 model gtr..

Frankly I prefer the VR4 over any model evo.

Evo's look too ricey for me, all of them.

The vr4 is a good enough mix of luxury with performance and I love it. It has every modcon you could want without the stupid ones like airbags (pah). And it's damned fast even by current standards.

A vr4 will still blow away most cars these days.

VR4's are by far the best bang for buck 4WD turbo out of the lot.

1st Show me a VR4 with a Phat as bodykit that would bring it to this day and age is what Im saying.2nd I didnt say anything about fast did I,if u wanna run lets run!I DONT GIVE A F@#K!.3rd bang for buck is right if u all had a choice of any evo including evo' 0' 99.9% of you wouldnt take the vr4 am I right.I personally dont mind VR4s but they aint no evo 2 me.Thats my $2 like it or not.

Lets face it, there would be no EVO if it wasnt for the Galant VR4.


To hear some rubbish that a VR4 is in the same category as a VL on this forum is wrong. Thats just like saying an STI WRX is in the same league as an EVO. I dont think so!!

I think i'm going to ban the next person who insults vr4s in this thread.

I am one of the 0.01% who would take a vr4 over any of the evo models.

Frankly, vr4's don't need bodykits to be "modern" they are already modern. E4-9 will be obsolete in about 8-10 years and the e1-3 will still look good becuase 4+ are way over the top.

If I ever hear someone compare vr4 drivers to VL drivers again i'll tear them a new arsehole in a very literal sense.

Evo 0 or Galant VR-4 Evolution's were the final super spec vr4 prior to the release of the lancer GSR evolution (evo 1). They are your granddaddy of performance. And frankly, they still do it better than most of todays cars.

You cannot deny the value they give. A healthy motor and selected mods can get you a VERY quick street car in all aspects for well less than 10k total outlay!
