get the hotbits bro,
spend a little more for something better

That's normally a safe assumption to make but the G4 have more options than the hotbits and a 2 year warranty.

So I'm trying to find out why the Hotbits are worth paying the extra for

Off the top of my head I am sure the G4 are the same as the D2's. The look identical in design so Im sure they come from the same factory.

I ran D2's in my VR4. Extremely hard to drive on. The adjustment on them didnt make any difference that I could feel because the springs are so stiff. Also I had an insert leak after 12 months. Luckily the warrantee covered it.

I'd go with hotbits if I was you.

you can tell them what spring rates you want when you order... so if the normal springs are too stiff wouldn't it be easy to just ask for some softer spring rate?

if this is the only issue that you had, and it handled well, i'll be getting some, as you say they leaked, but the warranty covered them... did you have to get strut tops or did they come with them?
