Gauges - whats best

So guys my gauges in my evo 7 are driving me crazy, they are different from eachother and its time for me to replace and maybe relocate, they currently sit under my headunit in a not so fancy mounting,

that means time to swap to all the same looking and in a smoked gauge, i want them to look gone when the cars not on

What gauges do you guys use, whats the best to have

i have Oilpressure/Air Fuel/Boost

i will move the Air/Fuel to in the glove box as its proberely handy to have but it gets on my nerves just swinging around lol

obviously Boost/vac is needed,i was looking around and seeing people say a EGT (exhaust gas temp) gauge is a must have but iver personally never seen one

Oil Press and Temo

Most common and imprtant

If you can pick up a set of DEFI gauges cheap (see OFFON-4's post above), they look really good.

Otherwise you can't really go past a set of Autometer gauges, never heard of anyone having problems with them.

hmm defi do look good, i only need 3 gauges, i would love to know every detail about my car but there is only so much "ricer" i can handle lol

I was dreaming and thinking the other day....

You can get a 7" android doubledin stereo. And you can get a bluetooth obd2 thing.
There is a cool app to give you all the obd info onto your car stereo screen...
And it turns off when you finished and no gauges at all.

The screen is $217, but it has a gsensor for laptimes as well. I think if it would run into the dash stereo would be ok...

Fuel pressure would be last on my list.

Boost...oil pressure...water temp would be my preferences.

And AFR if anything ( in the glovebox like you said if need be)

True tj is talking about his evo7 so it will work on his car. But not on a e3 or earlier.
There is a gauge designer with it as well. So you can gauge anything that the ecu knows. (So not oil and fuel pressure)

Incorrect Jack...Can do oil pressure, but not fuel pressure.

hey bro, the 2 most important gauges would have to be oil pressure and boost,

or have ya looked at the defi single din gauges? Almost look like they could pass as an oem fitted feature, shows Oil temp and pressure and water temp, then throw a boost gauge on the pillar and cos they're easier to read there than under ya radio,

as much as i like the idea of the unit that does everything and its pretty awesome, its not my style, gives me stuff to think about tho i was only going to get single din gauges and swap them with the location of my headunit to raise them up slightly.

how come use a water temp the standard ones not reliable?

Only gauges I use is wideband, boost, oil pressure and oil temp
