if you have had a good or bad experience with a ebay user, or a company post it up in here so that everyone can know about it

i'll start the ball rolling

bad experience with ebay user lilac88880
bought an oil pump off their ebay auction, paid in full after asking about shipping and being quoted for 6 days, 3 weeks later i still haven't got the part and i have been emailing them, turns out 6 weeks later they couldn't be bothered to send the part and paypal refunded me in full

With every shop theres good and bad things u hear.. u just have to take it into perspective and make an informed decision about who you want to take your car to.

It's funny you say that. I received mine after 6-7 days

Some bad places:

1. XTC turbo and performance in Coburg. Got ripped hardcore by this company. I don't know if they've shut shop or not, but the work they do is pretty poor. Observed them putting in an RB26 with a huge arse turbo into some poor bloke's GTR once, and after close to an hour they still couldn't gt it in[mauled the firewall as well] There's also a story on a Cappucino they turbocharged; it blew up just after leaving[not confirmed]

2. Bad trader and all-round ripoff artist: Anthony B*****. Now lives in QLD, but chances are he'll be back in VIC in a year or two. He owes me a MOTEC, and took his former employer to the order of 5 digits. Owes another garage a couple of grand.

3. Mechanic: Benny "K******" P****l, runs his own place now. The bloke who built my engine the first time round and didn't tolerance up the valves to the pistons. Cost me a rebuild and a new turbo. He's brilliant when it comes to general service and mantainence though, and is good especially with mantaining SR's.

Some good places:

1. ATP Turbo on the Princess. Kyp's knows his shit, and turns things around right quick. Good prices too.

2. Chasers Motorworks in West Melbourne. Plenty of Evo's, the slowest 4WD out of there's punching out 210kW@all 4, which is a blue Evo6 TME. Good and quick mechanics, an up-front boss and good prices. Get ready for a few calls though, they'll find pretty much everything that's wrong with your car and tell you about it. Excellent fabrication services, and a tuner who works on actual racr cars[Paul Flourentzo cut his teeth on ARC cars, land speed record vehicles and the odd powerboat before coming into the automotive aftermarket] Two of his current clients are Darcy Russel and a paceholder in the Race to the Sky challenge in NZ.

3: Engine builders: James Race Engines in North Melbourne. Did the machine work to my engine as well as the 500kW RB26-powered GTST "UNIQGT." Aluminium TIG facilities, and has a new multi-axis CNC rig. Engine hasn't missed a beat since then. You can get full reports as well as damage reports, Hedley and Scott know precisely what they're doing and like Paul, they cut their teeth on race cars, not street cars.

saw him at heathcote on saturday
he was friends with the jet car owners

Well he does come across as friends with just about everyone. But its good to know he's doing well for himself these days, and that he's finally got his own place.

Stay away from BrisJ Auto.

Sold me a dump that didn't fit and now wont return my phonecalls...

Yes they did, I am guessing they just screwed up the one they made for me.

However since they wont return my phonecalls...

After helping a friend fix up some just plain dodgey work on his car which was done at Brijs (beside the fact that they sold him a small 16G which when we pulled it back off, found out it was only a 14b), I would be very nervous getting work done there.

Haha

Day after I post they call to say send it back and we will reimburse you for full price plus postage!

Have to say they were always friendly...Just wish it fit.

So I would proabably take back my "bad experience" 8)

you still had a bad experience, just with a midly good outcome, if it had fitted, it would have been a very good outcome.

my concerns with them still stand though.

Theres always people that will have good experience's with one person but another person who will be the exact opposite. Happens everywhere in business & mistakes can happen. Its part of life.

Maybe just post your story & let the readers decide themselves. Just because you had a bad experience doesnt mean they are bad, you might be the 1% of unhappy customers
