Gt pumps big 16G turbo install

Ok horse finally brought the big 16g turbo from GT pumps totally cost $1250.00 post free ordered it last Thursday got it today in the morning, happy =). Now Kev at gt pumps says it should bolt on to my vr4 , but I know there is more to it. Any one in Townsville know some one who can do the work for me ? I also have a dump pipe to be installed as well.

If you put an evo 1-3 dump pipe on the angle on the flange to the front pipe will be slightly different, it’s easy to change it yourself or get the exhaust shop to do it, simple job. you should as the outlet on the 070 housing you now have is larger than an 060 housing behind the exhaust turbine, so the vr4 dump pipe/O2 housing is slightly smaller so there will be a restriction as there will be a lip. So go an evo dump, evo 3 is the best. AS much a i like meek and gt pumps, i wouldnt pay what they want new for an evo 3 O2 housing, find one second hand.

Too late mate I brought the N power evo 1-3 dump comes with gaskets and flange, I have to get the car booked in at the exhaust shop in Townsville, thing is I really dont trust the ppl working on it at that shop i hear they take the car out for joy rides when they are done with it fu#kers

Well sit and wait then, it wont take long.

BTW there's a guy on here that tested one of those O2 housings vs an evo3 one with meek, apprently after they put the evo 3 one back on the car made more power.meek told me the same thing over the phone ages ago. I dont like the angle they merge at personally but its better than a vr4 dump that for sure.

If only I knew that mate to late now, wife going to kill me if i spend more on my baby lol. Looking at a T3 manifold ,but to many on line to choose atm. Just hit the 3k mark and everything is still in a box.

Be weary of those dump pipes...mine cracked open through the welds shortly after the install. Just keep an eye on it

so far no issue's seem to be holding well with 17 psi atm.
